First, check our event calendar and filter by category, there are several events you can attend at no cost. You can also check the local newspapers for activities offered during your stay. Many of them are free or have a minimal cost for attendance. In Snowmass, you can enjoy daytime activities such as hiking and/or biking and evening events like free outdoor Thursday night concerts featuring great bands with complimentary kids’ activities. The Ice Age Discovery Center is also an educational free activity offering detailed information and actual findings at Ziegler – a repository for thousands of preserved fossils of Ice Age animals, including mastodons and ancient camels.
