A Snowmass summer tradition 27 years in the making, the Snowmass Free Concert Series is a must-do music event. Every Thursday evening (and two bonus Saturdays), locals and visitors alike gather on Fanny Hill to enjoy some of the country’s best live bands in a relaxed atmosphere with a spectacular mountain backdrop.
Tonight’s band: Elektric Voodoo – world beat rock & roll
About the band: Elektric Voodoo is a “world beat rock & roll” band from southern California that blends classic afrobeat, latin, rock & roll, psych, jazz, blues and many other influences into it’s own unique genre that tastefully straddles the line between modern and vintage. The band started when Scott Tournet (founding member of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals) started writing new material after leaving the Nocturnals. Elektric Voodoo is a band that can excite and exhaust a Saturday night audience while also engaging and challenging more focused listeners.

Family Fun Zone: Free and open to kids of all ages, the Family Fun Zone typically includes a bounce house, face painting, hula hooping, and more. (The Family Fun Zone is open at all events except those marked with an asterisk below.)
What to bring: We suggest a picnic blanket or chairs to sit on, and a jacket or sweater for after the sun goes down. For food, pack a picnic, grab to-go items from a nearby Snowmass restaurant, or purchase food from the vendors on Fanny Hill.
Where to go: Concerts are held on the Fanny Hill Concert Stage at the end of the Snowmass Mall. We recommend taking the free RFTA bus service from Aspen and the Intercept Lot, or the free Village Shuttle service throughout Snowmass. It is best to get off at the Snowmass Mall stop.
If you are driving, all numbered lots along Carriage Way and the Base Village Parking Garage offer free parking during the summer months. If you park in the garage, you can ride the free Sky Cab Gondola (known as the Skittles) between Base Village and the Snowmass Mall. Free parking is also available at Town Park Station and the Brush Creek Intercept Lot, with free shuttles to the Snowmass Mall and Base Village. For more event parking information, please click here.
