The description of a perfect ski mountain is right there in our name. Snowmass is covered with perfect Colorado powder, and massive enough to offer up every type of terrain from serene to extreme. Twenty speedy lifts (but rarely lift lines) deliver you to more than 3,300 acres of snowsports smorgasbord, including 98 trails totaling 150 miles which vary from cruisers to cliff bands, plus three terrain parks and pipes, all at Aspen Snowmass.
Seven on-mountain restaurants offer places to pause and rest, which you’ll need after trails that stretch as long as five miles. World Extreme Skiing Champion (and local) Chris Davenport, says, “Snowmass has some of the best steeps, cliffs, couloirs, backcountry, terrain parks, and powder anywhere in North America.” And he’s skied all of North America. Snowmass was voted the #1 ski area in the U.S. in the Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards 2023, and consistently ranks as a top ski area in the West by Ski Magazine.
Since 95% of Snowmass lodging is ski-in/ski-out, you won’t waste time getting to the slopes. You’ll need all that time you save for everything else we’ve got to offer, like award-winning ski school programs, on-mountain concerts, snowcat dinner rides, family-friendly dining, races and competitions, and a hundred other activities.
No other mountain offers the variety of experiences you’ll find at Snowmass. We’ll stake our name on it.
