Snowmass Village, Colo., (July 22, 2025) – August in Snowmass sees the continuation of a summer filled with community events. Favorites include Heritage Fire, Cidermass Invitational, and JAS Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience. Returning highlights like the Snowmass Tree-O and the Plein Air Art Festival add to the diverse lineup, while ongoing events like Music on the Mall, daily ACES hikes, and The Collective’s jam-packed calendar ensure there’s something happening nearly every day. August also sees the culmination of the Snowmass Rodeo and the Snowmass Free Concert Series.

August 2025 Event Lineup    

Heritage Fire – August 2: Heritage Fire is an outdoor feast that unites live-fire cooking, family farms, and local chefs, from 4:00pm-7:00pm in Snowmass Base Village on Saturday, August 2. The walk-around reception offers an all-inclusive bacchanal feast featuring thoughtful bites prepared by some of the most critically acclaimed kitchens in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond, utilizing products from locally sourced farms and sponsors. The festivities include fun and interactive activations, as well as the crowning of the Heritage Hero. The Heritage Hero award is voted on by guests for their favorite bite of the day, resulting in a friendly competition and a feel-good, delicious time for all. www.gosnowmass.com/event/heritage-fire/ 
 

Americana Concert – August 2: On Saturday, August 2, enjoy a live performance from Float Like a Buffalo. The high-energy, horn-driven rock band from Denver blends funk, ska, reggae, jam, and soul into a genre-bending sound that’s impossible not to dance to. Snowmass Tree-O – August 8-9: The Colorado Brewery Running Series, a Denver-based running series, returns to Snowmass, this August. Snowmass Tree-O consists of 2k, 5k, and 10k trail runs starting and ending on the Snowmass Mall. Runners can race on Friday evening or Saturday morning (or both!). Friday evening features two start waves at 5:00pm (5k) and 6:00pm (2k), and Saturday morning features three start waves at 7:30am (10k), 9:30am (5k), or 10:30am (2k). Plein Air Art Festival – August 9-10: The Plein Air Art Festival returns to Snowmass Village for its fifth consecutive year, August 4-10. Twenty remarkable artists descend on Snowmass to spend four days painting the natural beauty and splendor in and around the village. On Saturday, August 9 and Sunday, August 10, the artwork is judged, displayed, and available for purchase to the public in Snowmass Base Village.

Cidermass Invitational – August 16: Cidermass makes its return to the Snowmass Mall this summer from 2:00pm-5:30pm. Whether a cider connoisseur or a casual enthusiast, this event features a vibrant celebration of tastings from 20-25 hard cider, batch distiller, and hard seltzer vendors from all over the country. www.gosnowmass.com/event/cidermass/ 

JAS Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience – August 29-31: JAS Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience features three days of world-class performances on multiple open-air stages in Snowmass Town Park. 2025 acts include Imagine Dragons, Lenny Kravitz, Luke Combs, Cannons, Lawrence, Max McNown, Marcus King Band, and Grace Bowers & The Hodge Podge. www.gosnowmass.com/event/jas-labor-day-experience/2025-08-29/ 

Summer 2025 On-going Events  

The Collective Snowmass – Daily, through September: The Collective Snowmass, the hub for culture and community activity in Snowmass Base Village, has a jam-packed calendar for Summer 2025! Returning favorites include Community Bingo, Chess Club, Fitness on the Rink, Movies Under the Stars, and the Snowmass Live Comedy Series. Check the calendar for unique events like salsa dancing lessons, relaxing wellness workshops, ecstatic dance sessions, and many other pop-up activities. The Collective also features yard games, splash pads, fountains, and playground throughout Snowmass Base Village. ACES Guided Hikes – Daily, through September 1; Weekends only in September: Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) returns to Snowmass this summer to lead twice daily hikes. The Snowmass Wildflower Walk begins at 10:00am, on the Nature Trail, while the Ice Age Discovery Walk starts at 1:00pm on the Discovery Trail. Hikes are led by a knowledgeable ACES Naturalist guide and feature natural history, facts about local flora and fauna, possible wildlife sightings, and species identification. Hikes depart from the Snowmass Mall Ticket Pavilion. Snowmass Rodeo – Wednesdays, through August 20: The iconic Snowmass Rodeo is a long-standing Western tradition celebrating 51 years this summer. Complete with authentic cowboys and cowgirls competing in all the rodeo classics, including barrel riding, saddle bronc, bull riding, and much more, this Wednesday evening staple is not to be missed. The Snowmass Rodeo takes place on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, rain or shine. Doors open at 5:00pm for a BBQ dinner and activities. Snowmass Free Concert Series – Thursdays, through August 21: Celebrating 33 years of free live music this summer, the Snowmass Free Concert Series, a locals’ favorite summer tradition, returns to Fanny Hill every Thursday evening at 6:30pm. The weekly outdoor series features a spectrum of sounds including country, reggae, rock, funk, bluegrass, and more. Doors open at 5:30pm; concert at 6:30pm. Ice Age Explorer Tours – Fridays, through September 26: Did you know Snowmass is the site of the finest ice age fossil discovery in the world? Learn the full story of this remarkable discovery from an Aspen Science Center educator. Every Friday at 3:30pm, meet in the Limelight Snowmass lobby to learn about the mammoths and mastodons who used to live in Snowmass, and see replicas of Ice Age animal bones, teeth, tusks, and more. Then, follow along on a guided Ice Age Passport Walk through Base Village and the Snowmass Mall to see art inspired by the discovery and earn an Ice Age prize!
