Best Restaurants to Soak Up The Mountain Vibe

SaveSaved to Favorites

As you wind up the road towards Snowmass, you’re greeted with the aroma of clean mountain air, sights of snowy slopes and a feeling you just can’t put your finger on. Ah ha! That’s what it is, the mountain vibe of Snowmass. Here, we detail the restaurants in Snowmass that make us feel like we’ve arrived in the mountains:

The Artisan

Tucked away inside the Stonebridge Inn, The Artisan may be Snowmass’ best-kept secret. Settle into the cozy fireside lounge, the airy bar with its mountain views, or the warmly lit dining room, and enjoy the exceptional handcrafted cuisine. A pioneer in the locally sourced farm-to-table movement, The Artisan offers a seasonal menu — don’t miss the Colorado Lamb Bolognese this winter — along with tried-and-true favorites, like its mouth-watering Hazelnut Crusted Ruby Red Trout. Top off your evening with the to-die-for Artisan Crème Brulee, and consider your day complete.

Lynn Britt Cabin

What better way to fulfill your mountain experience than with an authentic western dinner on the mountain. The evening begins and ends with a snowcat ride to this charming log cabin on Snowmass’ slopes with panoramic views (also open for ski-in, ski-out lunch daily and select après-ski events). Live music sets the tone for three-course Family Chuckwagon Dinners or four-course menus of exquisite New American cuisine.

New Belgium Ranger Station

Slopeside on Fanny Hill, the New Belgium Ranger Station serves up the perfect après-ski mountain fare. Each dish has a recommended beer pairing from the Colorado-born brewery, and in the case of the 1554 Bison Chili, their own craft beer is used in the recipe. Kids will love the pretzel bites served with a selection of dipping sauces including fondue cheese and hazelnut chocolate. Entertainment is part of the menu, too: frequent live music, trivia on Tuesdays, an outdoor patio with a fire pit, and a large projector screen for sports events and more.
