Snowmass Village, Colo., (January 22, 2026) – Today, Snowmass Tourism announces the 2026 Summer event lineup, featuring a dynamic calendar spanning June through October. Beloved traditions return alongside new and expanded offerings, including The Tough Draw Tour, a new bull riding event and the new three-day Mountainside Music Festival. Returning favorites include the iconic Snowmass Rodeo, the long-running Snowmass Free Concert Series, and Snowmass Oktoberfest, along with nationally recognized endurance races, art and culinary festivals, and family-friendly community celebrations. With something happening nearly every week, Summer 2026 invites visitors and locals alike to experience the spirit, community, and outdoor lifestyle that define Snowmass.

Ragnar Trail Colorado – June 5-6: Ragnar Trail Colorado makes its final run in Snowmass in 2026, featuring the most scenic trail running loops Mother Nature can serve. Each trail loop begins and ends at Ragnar Village in Snowmass Town Park. Teams of eight run relay style, rotating through three loops, varying from easy to difficult, over a 24-hour period. *New – Mountainside Music Festival – June 11-13: Mountainside Music Festival is a new, free, three-day festival in Snowmass Village. Taking place on the Fanny Hill Stage, host of the Snowmass Free Concert Series, this new festival features three evenings of openers, headliners, vendors, and stunning sunsets, June 11-13. Thursday and Friday evening, doors open at 5:30pm, with an opener at 6:00pm and headliner at 7:30pm. On Saturday, doors open at 4:00pm and features two openers and a headliner. Snowmass Rodeo – June 17-August 19: The iconic Snowmass Rodeo is a long-standing Western tradition celebrating 52 years this summer. Complete with authentic cowboys and cowgirls competing in all the rodeo classics, including barrel riding, saddle bronc, bull riding, and much more, this Wednesday evening staple is not to be missed. The Snowmass Rodeo takes place on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, rain or shine. Doors open at 5:00pm for a BBQ dinner, bespoke shopping experiences, and activities. Snowmass Free Concert Series – June 18-August 20: Now in its 34th year, the Snowmass Free Concert Series returns to Fanny Hill every Thursday evening throughout the summer. A longtime local favorite, the outdoor series showcases a diverse range of live music—from rock and alternative, Latin to bluegrass, and beyond. Doors open at 5:30pm, with music beginning at 6:30pm. Elk Camp Gondola Opening Day – June 21: Enjoy a ride on the Elk Camp Gondola in Snowmass! Elk Camp Gondola gives access to the Lost Forest, Elk Camp Restaurant, and Snowmass Bike Park. Use Elk Camp as a base to ride 90+ miles of Snowmass trails, part of the Aspen Snowmass/ Roaring Fork Valley IMBA Gold-Level Ride Center, the only Gold-Level Ride Center in Colorado, only the 5th in United States, and one of only 7 in the world. Aspen Gran Fondo – June 27: The Aspen Cycling Club hosts their annual noncompetitive Aspen Gran Fondo on June 27 starting at 8:30am. A Gran Fondo is a long-distance ride traveling up and down the Roaring Fork Valley’s most iconic climbs. Cyclists of all abilities can choose their definition of a long ride: 36, 62, or 103 miles. Triple Crown World Series – July 14: The Triple Crown World Series returns this summer to the Roaring Fork Valley, giving guests and locals the opportunity to watch the best of youth baseball. Headquartered in Snowmass, the Triple Crown World Series is a Valley-wide sporting event, featuring youth baseball games (9D2, 11D2, 12D2, 14D2) with regional and national attendees. Opening ceremonies take place in Snowmass on July 14, with spectator opportunities available throughout the week. Ranch Week – July 13-18: A fundraiser at heart, Ranch Week gives Anderson Ranch supporters and community members a chance to come together in celebration of the Ranch and honor the recipient of the International Artist Award, which is given annually to globally recognized artists who demonstrate the highest level of artistic achievement and whose careers have fundamentally influenced contemporary art. Anderson Ranch Picnic and Auction – July 18: A tradition for over 40 years, the Anderson Ranch Picnic and Auction brings people together for an afternoon of fun and excitement. Audi Power of Four Trail Run – July 18: The Audi Power of Four Trail Run is a premier endurance race series utilizing the unique and amazing terrain of each of the four Aspen Snowmass mountains. Each race is designed to test the limits and skills of both elite and recreational athletes. The event’s signature race is a challenging 50K Ultra that covers the four Aspen Snowmass mountains utilizing a mix of singletrack and dirt road. The event also offers a 25K race along the famed Government Trail covering Buttermilk and Snowmass mountains. Snowmass Dog Wash – July 19: From 12:00pm to 2:00pm, bring Fido out to Snowmass Base Village for an afternoon dedicated to the dogs. Audi Snowmass 50 Mountain Bike Race – July 25: The Audi Snowmass 50 Mountain Bike Race features 25 miles of some of the best single track mountain bike trails in Colorado. Divisions are broken into 50-mile solo racer (two loops), 25-mile solo racer (one loop), and 50-mile teams of two where each rider completes one 25-mile lap. The course covers 25 miles, 5,000’ of ascent across a diverse range of Snowmass Village’s best singletrack trails. Heritage Fire – August 1: Heritage Fire is an outdoor feast that unites live-fire cooking, family farms, and local chefs, 3:30pm-7:00pm in Snowmass Base Village. The walk-around reception offers an all-inclusive bacchanal feast featuring thoughtful bites prepared by some of the most critically acclaimed kitchens, utilizing products from locally sourced farms and sponsors. The festivities include fun and interactive activations, as well as the crowning of the Heritage Hero. Snowmass Tree-O – August 7-8: The Colorado Brewery Running Series, a Denver-based running series, returns to Snowmass this summer, with route commemorating the 150th anniversary of Colorado. 2026 marks 150 years since Colorado became a state (and 250 years since the United States became a nation). In honor of this momentous birthday, this year’s Snowmass Tree-O consists of 3.76k, 5k, and 10k trail runs starting and ending on the Snowmass Mall. Together the distances add up to 18.76K in honor of 1876, the year Colorado was founded. Runners can race on Friday evening or Saturday morning (or both!). Friday evening features two start waves at 5:00pm (5k) and 6:00pm (3.76k), and Saturday morning features three start waves at 7:30am (10k), 9:30am (5k), or 10:30am (3.76k). Up in the Sky Music Festival – August 7-8: Returning for a second year after a smashing debut in 2025, Up in the Sky Music Festival is a two-day music festival that brings live performances to the base of Buttermilk. Plein Air Art Festival & Sale – August 8-9: The Plein Air Art Festival returns to Snowmass Village for its sixth consecutive year, August 8-9. Twenty remarkable artists descend on Snowmass to spend four days painting the natural beauty and splendor in and around the village. The Mane Event – August 23: Celebrating Snowmass’ local heritage, this equestrian themed event returns to the Snowmass Rodeo Grounds for its third year to celebrate the long-standing tradition of horsemanship in the Roaring Fork Valley. ACES Guided Hikes – Daily, June – August; Weekends only in September: Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) returns to Snowmass this summer to lead twice daily hikes. The Snowmass Wildflower Walk begins at 10:00am, on the Nature Trail, while the Ice Age Discovery Walk starts at 1:00pm on the Discovery Trail. Hikes are led by a knowledgeable ACES Naturalist guide and feature natural history, facts about local flora and fauna, possible wildlife sightings, and species identification. Ice Age Explorer Tours – Fridays, June-September: Did you know Snowmass is the site of the finest ice age fossil discovery in the world? Learn the full story of this remarkable discovery from an Aspen Science Center educator. Every Friday at 3:30pm, meet in the Limelight Snowmass lobby to learn about the mammoths and mastodons who used to live in Snowmass, and see replicas of Ice Age animal bones, teeth, tusks and more. Then, follow along on a guided Ice Age Passport Walk through Base Village and the Snowmass Mall to see art inspired by the discovery and earn an Ice Age prize!
