Snowmass Village, Colo., (February 27, 2025) – Today, Snowmass Tourism announces the event calendar for the 2025 summer season. The 2025 event lineup features the 50th anniversary of the Snowmass Balloon Festival, as well as the debut of a new Oktoberfest. Additionally, summer staples such as the Snowmass Free Concert Series, Snowmass Rodeo, Snowmass Rendezvous, Heritage Fire, and many more complete the lineup.

Summer 2025 Event Lineup
Ragnar Trail Colorado – June 6-7: Ragnar Trail Colorado returns in 2025 for a gritty trifecta of the most scenic trail running loops Mother Nature can serve up. Each trail loop begins and ends at Ragnar Village in Snowmass Town Park. Teams of eight run relay style, rotating through three loops, varying from easy to difficult, over a 24-hour period. The race includes costumes, camaraderie, stunning views, and a host of Ragnar community spirit.
Snowmass Free Concert Series – June 12-August 21: Celebrating 33 years of free live music this summer, the Snowmass Free Concert Series, a locals’ favorite summer tradition, returns to Fanny Hill every Thursday evening at 6:30pm. The weekly outdoor series features a spectrum of sounds including country, reggae, rock, funk, bluegrass, and more. Doors open at 5:30pm; concert at 6:30pm. Full lineup to be announced.
Snowmass Rendezvous – June 14: Snowmass Rendezvous returns to Snowmass for its ninth year of libations and fun. From 2:00pm – 6:00pm enjoy endless games, bottomless adult beverages, tastings, and live music. Tickets give access to multiple Rendezvous venues around the Village, complete with unlimited wine, beer, and spirit tastings, outdoor gear activations, games, and more. End the evening with a free concert at the end of Snowmass Mall, presented by Two Parts.
Snowmass Rodeo – June 18-August 20: The iconic Snowmass Rodeo is a long-standing Western tradition celebrating 51 years this summer. Complete with authentic cowboys and cowgirls competing in all the rodeo classics, including barrel riding, saddle bronc, bull riding, and much more, this Wednesday evening staple is not to be missed. The Snowmass Rodeo takes place on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, rain or shine. Doors open at 5:00pm for a BBQ dinner and activities. Snowmass Community Kickoff – June 21: Gear up for summer during the Snowmass Community Kickoff, Saturday, June 21 from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Enjoy the opening weekend of the Elk Camp Gondola, which gives access to the Lost Forest, Elk Camp Restaurant, and Snowmass Bike Park. In Snowmass Base Village, a community gathering brings together Town of Snowmass Village departments for an afternoon of engagement, education, and fun. The afternoon features essential services, outdoor recreation, and community resources. Register pets and bikes with the Snowmass Police Department, take a fire truck tour with the Snowmass Fire Department, get trail information with Snowmass Parks, Trails & Recreation, explore the Snowmass Ice Age Discovery with Snowmass Guest Services, collect stickers, and win free swag!
Music on the Mall – June 25 – August 29: Enjoy live performances from local Roaring Fork Valley musicians on the Tower Stage on the Snowmass Mall, every Wednesday-Friday from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
Summer Block Party – June 28: Come out to the Snowmass Mall from 12:00pm-6:00pm for the Summer Block Party. Showcasing new summer styles and specials, this sidewalk sale is not to be missed. The afternoon also features live music and entertainment, kids’ activities, and food and drink specials.
Aspen Gran Fondo – June 28: The Aspen Cycling Club hosts their annual noncompetitive Aspen Gran Fondo on June 28, starting at 8:30am. A Gran Fondo is a long-distance ride traveling up and down the Roaring Fork Valley’s most iconic climbs. Cyclists of all abilities can choose their definition of a long ride: 36, 62, or 103 miles. The ride is supported with aid stations, a finish line party, and BBQ at Snowmass Town Park.
Snowmass Dog Wash – June 29, July 27: From 12:00pm-2:00pm, bring Fido out to Snowmass Base Village for an afternoon dedicated to the dogs. A local groomer and pet store will be on hand to provide free nail clippings and treats, while dog costumes and photo opportunities are available, in addition to a do-it-yourself dog washing station.
4th of July Celebration – July 4: Celebrate Independence Day on Friday, July 4 in Snowmass! Enjoy a festive evening with a free concert on Fanny Hill featuring the Spazmatics, returning for a second year of festive fun. Free sweet treats and glow in the dark goodies round out the 4th of July celebration. Patriotic or 80’s throwback attire is encouraged.
Snowmass Americana Music Series – July 5 and August 2: Kicking off over Independence Day weekend, the Snowmass Americana Music Series features local Colorado bands playing a spectrum of Americana genres, from bluegrass, to folk, to country. All shows are free and take place at 7:00pm at the Rock Garden Stage on the Snowmass Mall.
Ranch Week – July 7-12: A fundraiser at heart, Ranch Week serves as a way for Anderson Ranch’s supporters and community members to come together in celebration of the Ranch and honor the recipient of the International Artist Award, which is given annually to globally recognized artists who demonstrate the highest level of artistic achievement and whose careers have fundamentally influenced contemporary art. Ranch Week is filled with robust programming, including a series of performances, conversations, and gatherings supporting and celebrating Anderson Ranch’s long-standing impact on contemporary art and art-making.
COMEDY WKND! – July 10-13: The Collective Snowmass and Snowmass Live present the third annual COMEDY WKND! July 10-13. This event is back to bring top-notch national comedic talent to the Roaring Fork Valley. Snowmass Live has presented national and regional comedians at The Collective Hall since 2021, while also creating a hub of comedy for aspiring local comedians. Anderson Ranch Picnic and Auction – July 12: A tradition for over 40 years, the Anderson Ranch Picnic and Auction brings people together for an afternoon of fun and excitement. Silent auctions feature over 200 works of art by top contemporary artists and locals alike. Alongside the auctions are engaging art-based activities for all ages, delicious picnic-style food, and live music. Triple Crown World Series – July 15: The Triple Crown World Series returns this summer to the Roaring Fork Valley, giving guests and locals the opportunity to watch the best of youth baseball. Headquartered in Snowmass, the Triple Crown World Series is a Valley-wide sporting event, featuring youth baseball games (9D2, 11D2, 12D2, 14D2) with regional and national attendees. Opening ceremonies take place in Snowmass on July 15, with spectator opportunities available throughout the week. Audi Power of Four – July 19: The Audi Power of Four Race Series is a premier endurance race series utilizing the unique and amazing terrain of each of the four Aspen Snowmass mountains. Each race is designed to test the limits and skills of both elite and recreational athletes. The event’s signature race is a challenging 50K Ultra that covers the four Aspen Snowmass mountains utilizing a mix of singletrack and dirt road. The event also offers a 25K race along the famed Government Trail covering Buttermilk and Snowmass mountains. Snowmass 50 – July 26: The Snowmass 50 features 25 miles of some of the best single track mountain bike trails in Colorado. Divisions are broken into 50-mile solo racer (two loops), 25-mile solo racer (one loop) and 50-mile teams of two where each rider completes one 25-mile lap. The race course covers 25 miles, 5,000’ of ascent across a diverse range of Snowmass Village’s best singletrack trails. Heritage Fire – August 2: Heritage Fire is an outdoor feast that unites live-fire cooking, family farms, and local chefs,4:00pm-7:00pm in Snowmass Base Village. The walk-around reception offers an all-inclusive bacchanal feast featuring thoughtful bites prepared by some of the most critically acclaimed kitchens, utilizing products from locally sourced farms and sponsors. The festivities include fun and interactive activations, as well as the crowning of the Heritage Hero. Snowmass Tree-O – August 8-9: The Colorado Brewery Running Series, a Denver-based running series, returns to Snowmass, this time in August. Snowmass Tree-O consists of 2k, 5k, and 10k trail runs starting and ending on the Snowmass Mall. Runners can race on Friday evening or Saturday morning (or both!). Friday evening features two start waves at 5:00pm (5k) and 6:00pm (2k), and Saturday morning features three start waves at 7:30am (10k), 9:30am (5k), or 10:30am (2k). Plein Air Art Festival – August 9-10: The Plein Air Art Festival returns to Snowmass Village for its fifth consecutive year, August 4-10. Twenty remarkable artists descend on Snowmass to spend four days painting the natural beauty and splendor in and around the village. On Saturday, August 9 and Sunday, August 10, the artwork will be judged, displayed, and available for purchase to the public in Snowmass Base Village.

The Mane Event – September 7: Celebrating Snowmass’ local heritage, this equestrian themed event returns for its second year to celebrate the long-standing tradition of horsemanship in the Roaring Fork Valley. From 11:00am – 2:00pm, experience a curated marketplace, complete with equestrian demos such as Spanish Dressage, a Mexican Horse Extravaganza, therapeutic horseback riding techniques from Smiling Goat Ranch, as well as reining, equine massage and farrier (horse shoeing) demos. Get up close and personal with the animals of Smiling Goat Ranch and enjoy a marketplace filled with a few favorite farmer’s market vendors and activities for the kids. Axes & Arms Walk – September 11: From 6:00pm – 8:00pm, join local first responders for a walk from Town Park Station to the Top of the Village, 956ft, the highest number of feet that the brave New York first responders walked inside the first tower of the World Trade Center. Following the climb, return to Town Park to enjoy food, drinks, yard games, and more, provided by Roaring Fork Fire Authority. Snowmass Balloon Festival – September 12-14: Snowmass celebrates 50 years of the iconic Snowmass Ballon Festival in September 2025. A beloved Snowmass tradition, the 50th Anniversary event features three days of hot air balloon beauty at Snowmass Town Park. Friday features a Night Glow under the stars, where guests can walk among tethered balloons, while enjoying music and concessions. The iconic morning launches begin at sunrise on Saturday and Sunday and this 50th anniversary event features more balloons than ever before – 40 in total, making the Snowmass event the biggest mountain balloon festival in the state. ACES Guided Hikes – Daily, June – August; Weekends only in September: Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) returns to Snowmass this summer to lead twice daily hikes. The Snowmass Wildflower Walk begins at 10:00am, on the Nature Trail, while the Ice Age Discovery Walk starts at 1:00pm on the Discovery Trail. Hikes are led by a knowledgeable ACES Naturalist guide and feature natural history, facts about local flora and fauna, possible wildlife sightings, and species identification. Ice Age Explorer Tours – Fridays, June-September: Did you know Snowmass is the site of the finest ice age fossil discovery in the world?
