Party like it’s 1967!

Join us in celebrating the 50th anniversary of Snowmass Ski Area! We’re kicking off a season’s worth of festivities with a big, weekend-long bash, December 15-17, 2017.

Friday, December 15

$6.50 Lift Tickets: Ski or ride a full day at Snowmass for the same price that was charged on opening day in 1967. Now that’s a once-in-50-years deal! $6.50 lift tickets are valid exclusively at Snowmass, only on December 15, and can be purchased in-person that day at the ticket offices in Snowmass Base Village and on the Snowmass Mall.

Après Ski Party: Head down to Base Village 11:00am-4:00pm for some après fun featuring DJ GeoDecibel. Kids can get in on the fun from 2:30pm-4:30pm, with face painting and balloon animals in the Kids Zone. 

Red Bull Air Force Team: At 12:00 noon the Red Bull Air Force team will jump out of planes from 5,000 feet above Snowmass and land on Fanny Hill, performing stunts as they approach the landing zone.

Historical Mountain Tours: Learn the history of Snowmass and the Brush Creek Valley while skiing around the mountain with an Ambassador. Click to learn more

Champagne Toast: Join East West Partners for a complimentary champagne toast to our 50th anniversary at 3:00pm on the balcony at Base Camp Bar & Grill in Base Village.

Retro Costume Party at Elk Camp: From 5:00-9:00pm, don your best vintage outfit and ride up the gondola to Elk Camp restaurant for dinner, live music, and entertainment, including local favorite Bo Hale Band. Click here to purchase tickets.

Fireworks over Fanny Hill: Watch the night sky light up with fireworks as we salute 50 years of skiing and Snowmass! The show starts at 9:00pm.

Saturday, December 16

Banana Days Scavenger Hunt: A popular Snowmass event dating back to the 1980s, made modern. Search for clues and prizes hidden in 1,967 bananas all over the mountain and around the Village. Click here for details on how to participate

Après Ski Party: Head down to Base Village 12:00-4:00pm for some après fun featuring DJ Benny. Kids can get in on the fun with face painting and balloon animals in the Kids Zone.

Golden Gala: A community celebration and dinner to honor those who have made Snowmass what it is today. [SOLD OUT]

Sunday, December 17

Cabin Jump and Rail Jam: Bringing past and present together, all skiers and riders are invited to the terrain park watch or show their park skills, with special features including a modern remake of the 1970s classic Cabin Jump.

Community Picnic: Join us for a community picnic 11:30am-1:30pm at Ullrhof Restaurant, where you’ll find timeless comfort food including Swedish meatballs, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, crepes, ice cream, a vegetarian option, and more. You can purchase tickets for $19.67 per person at the event or online here.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING

Visitors and locals are encouraged to carpool or to use public transportation (RFTA or Snowmass Village Transit) as parking in Snowmass will be limited during the weekend. Parking is free at the Intercept Lot on Highway 82, with shuttles running to Snowmass every 7-10 minutes from 8:00am-4:30pm throughout the weekend.
