ACES Naturalist-Guided Snowshoe Tours

Explore Snowmass on a guided snowshoe tour and learn about winter flora and fauna!

Led by an ACES (Aspen Center for Environmental Studies) Naturalist guide, explore the outskirts of Snowmass Ski Area on snowshoes! Meet at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola to explore spruce and fir forest along a babbling creek in the Snowmass Ski Area. The ACES Snowshoe Tour is a two-hour guided snowshoe tour with an ACES Naturalist, available twice daily. Switch things up for a different on-mountain activity and swap your skis and snowboard for snowshoes. Learn about Rocky Mountain winter ecology, animals, and more as you discover the area and enjoy the silence of a snow-covered forest.
