Yoga on the Mountain Returns to Snowmass July 27 – 29, 2018

Boutique Festival Features Over 65 Yoga and Meditation Classes, Presentations, Music, Hikes, and Much More

Snowmass Village, Colo., (April 3, 2018) – Yoga on the Mountain, presented by Power Yoga Retreats, returns to Snowmass for its second year, July 27 – 29, 2018. The three-day celebration of movement, music, and mindful living, features over 65 yoga and meditation classes, taught by over 18 professional yogis from around the country. The festival also includes discussions on health and nutrition, full moon guided hikes, live music, kid’s yoga, a DJ Pool Party, social gatherings, and much more. The experience is designed to create lifetime memories, build relationships, and encourage adventure.

“We are thrilled to return to Snowmass Village, this time on a full moon, which is significant in the yoga practice,” says Krista Debuhr, co-founder, Power Yoga Retreats. “We love blending the outdoor elements, yoga practice, and music together to create a vibrant festival. YOTM is the highest elevation of any festival in the country, and there is a true magic when 500 yogis unite on a mountain top. This experience can only be seen, heard, and felt in the company of others. Snowmass is the ideal location for such an experience and we are excited to be back!”

Yoga on the Mountain brings teachers and students from around the country to Snowmass for a weekend mediation, self-reflection, yoga, and empowerment, taught by powerful yogis. The national and local teacher line-up includes Matt Giordano, Gina Caputo, Gina Murdoch, Karl Straub, Diana Vitantonio, Arielle Shipe, Evan Soroka, Aaron King, Kirra Sherman, and Jordie Karlinski. Specialty classes include a full moon flow with Jayne Gottlieb of Shakti Aspen; Buddhi Yoga with DJ Bhakti and Jaime Butemeyer; Ayurveda with Jess Ewart from Aspen Yoga Society; Acro Yoga classes; and many more.

“Yoga on the Mountain is a natural fit for Snowmass” says Rose Abello, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “We are so pleased to welcome YOTM back to Snowmass and can’t wait to experience the full and vibrant lineup they have put together for the festival this year.”

All class venues, including a spacious mountain-view tent and an open-air stage, are centrally located around Snowmass Base Village. A vendor village takes place on the Snowmass Village Mall. For the full weekend schedule and to purchase tickets, please visit www.yotmfestival.com.
