Snowmass Village, Colo., (July 11, 2018) – Snowmass Tourism is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the Group Sales Department. Friederike French, a long time Roaring Fork Valley local, joins the as national sales manager, and  Owen Green moves from the Snowmass Tourism Marketing Department to the new position of group sales specialist. Both began their positions on Monday, July 9.

“We are pleased to welcome Friederike to the Snowmass Tourism family,” says Rose Abello, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “Her knowledge of Snowmass and the greater Roaring Fork Valley is an asset to our Group Sales Department and we look forward to working with her. We are also thrilled for Owen to move into Group Sales. In his tenure at Snowmass Tourism, Owen has demonstrated great character, a willingness to learn and a ‘do whatever it takes’ attitude that will serve him well as he begins his new role.”

Friederike French has lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for nearly 20 years and has ‘sold’ Snowmass to groups for years through tour operators including Ski Wild West/America Ski & Sun Holidays as well as North American Hosts. She served as an Ambassador on Snowmass for Aspen Skiing Company for many years. In her time in the Valley, French has worked as a real estate agent with RE/MAX and Mason & Morse, as well as at the Aspen Club Lodge. In her new role, French will work with the Snowmass Group Sales Department to bring groups and conferences to Snowmass. Originally from Germany, Friederike studied law at the University of Bielefeld. In her free time, she enjoys road biking, skiing, snowshoeing, and being outdoors with her two dogs.

Owen Green previously held the position of online marketing coordinator with Snowmass Tourism, where his duties included content, email, and digital marketing. Green has worked in the travel and tourism industry for five years, with stints at Exclusive Resorts and The Residences at The Little Nell before joining the Snowmass Tourism team. In his new role, Green will work to bring ski groups to Snowmass Village, in addition to coordinating group sales and travel trade familiarization trips. Green is a graduate of Jacksonville University, where he majored in marketing and management, in addition to playing Division 1 lacrosse. In his free time, Green is a coach of the Aspen High School lacrosse team and enjoys fly fishing, mountaineering, and snowboarding.
