Second Ice Cream Anti-Social Comes to Snowmass Over Labor Day

Plus Updated Summer Event Lineup and Some Cancellations

Snowmass Village, Colo., (July 30, 2020) – Today, Snowmass Tourism announces the addition of a second Ice Cream Anti-Social to the summer calendar on Monday, September 7 (Labor Day). In addition, Snowmass Tourism announces the cancellation of the Snowmass Drive-in Movies & Concert Series.

“Shift really does happen,” says Rose Abello, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “It has been our motto all summer long and true to form, we took the opportunity this summer to try totally new ideas. Some worked and some did not. The Ice Cream Anti-Social over the 4th of July was a great success, so we are tweaking it and adding a second one on Labor Day. However, the Drive-ins, while fun for those who attended and well executed, did not draw the numbers that justify additional events.”

*New – Labor Day Ice Cream Anti-Social – September 7: In the spirit of the 4th of July Ice Cream Anti-Social, the Town of Snowmass Village is back at it again to give away free ice cream on Monday, September 7. The decorated ice cream truck will feature four flavors of ice cream including Choco-taco, Classic Ice Cream Sandwiches, Bomb Pop, Orange Push-up Pops, and a summer playlist with an ode to 30 years of JAS Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experiences. The schedule will be announced on www.gosnowmass.com/events.

Other shifts in the Snowmass summer event schedule include a new date and concept for the Snowmass Wine Festival, now the Snowmass Golf & Wine Festival on September 3, as well as the cancellations of Snowmass Doubles Volleyball Tournament, Cidermass, Colorado Classic, CU in Snowmass, Colorado High School Cycling League: The Snowmassive Chase, and Golden Leaf Half Marathon.

The New Belgium Ranger Station 5k on the Mountain takes place this weekend on July 31 and August 1. The Audi Power of Four Trail Run is slated for August 1 & 2. VIDA MTB Series Women’s Skills Clinic is scheduled for August 15-16.  Snowmass Balloon Festival remains scheduled for September 11-13 as a drive up only event, while Septemberfest is slated for September 12.
