June Kicks Off Summer 2026 in Snowmass Village with a New Festival, Iconic Events, and Mountain Adventures

From the debut of the Mountainside Music Festival to concerts, races, and outdoor experiences, Snowmass celebrates the start of summer with a packed June event lineup.

Snowmass Village, Colo., (May 20, 2026) – Summer officially begins in Snowmass Village this June with a dynamic lineup of events, live music, outdoor adventures, and community celebrations. The month-long calendar features the debut of the Mountainside Music Festival, alongside returning favorites including the Snowmass Free Concert Series, the Snowmass Rodeo, Snowmass Rendezvous, and more. 

 

“Summer in Snowmass continues to evolve with new traditions, milestone celebrations and unforgettable mountain experiences for visitors and locals alike,” says Julia Theisen, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “From the launch of the Mountainside Music Festival to iconic events like Snowmass Rendezvous and the Free Concert Series, June showcases the incredible energy, community spirit, and outdoor lifestyle that defines summer in Snowmass.” 

 

June 2026 Event Lineup   

Ragnar Trail Colorado – June 5-6: Ragnar Trail Colorado makes its final run in Snowmass in 2026, featuring the most scenic trail running loops Mother Nature can serve. Each trail loop begins and ends at Ragnar Village in Snowmass Town Park. Teams of eight run relay style, rotating through three loops, varying from easy to difficult, over a 24-hour period. *New – Mountainside Music Festival – June 11-13: The inaugural Mountainside Music Festival takes place June 11-13 with three days of free live music on Snowmass’s iconic Fanny Hill stage, celebrating the start of the summer season in true mountain style. Alongside performances, guests can enjoy food and container bars, a vendor village at the top of Fanny Hill, festival merch, and complimentary goodies. Friday night culminates in a 15-minute drone show celebrating the America 250 – Colorado 150 anniversaries. Thursday and Friday evening, doors open at 5:30pm, with an opener at 6:00pm and headliner at 7:30pm. On Saturday, doors open at 4:00pm and features two openers and a headliner.

Snowmass Rodeo – Wednesdays, starting June 17: The iconic Snowmass Rodeo is a long-standing Western tradition celebrating 52 years this summer. Complete with authentic cowboys and cowgirls competing in all the rodeo classics, including barrel riding, saddle bronc, bull riding, and much more, this Wednesday evening staple is not to be missed. The Snowmass Rodeo takes place on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, rain or shine. Doors open at 5:00pm for a BBQ dinner, bespoke shopping experiences, and activities. Snowmass Free Concert Series – Thursdays, starting June 18: Now in its 34th year, the Snowmass Free Concert Series returns to Fanny Hill every Thursday evening throughout the summer. A longtime local favorite, the outdoor series showcases a diverse range of live music—from rock and alternative, Latin to bluegrass, and beyond. Summer Block Party – June 20: Come out to the Snowmass Mall from 12:00pm to 6:00pm for the Summer Block Party. Showcasing new summer styles and specials, live music, entertainment, and kid’s activities, this sidewalk sale is not to be missed. www.gosnowmass.com/event/summer-block-party/ 

 

Elk Camp Gondola Opening Day – June 21: Enjoy a ride on the Elk Camp Gondola in Snowmass! Elk Camp Gondola gives access to the Lost Forest, Elk Camp Restaurant, and Snowmass Bike Park. Use Elk Camp as a base to ride 90+ miles of Snowmass trails, part of the Aspen Snowmass/ Roaring Fork Valley IMBA Gold-Level Ride Center. Open for the summer starting daily, June 21. www.AspenSnowmass.com   

Snowmass Rendezvous – June 27: Snowmass Rendezvous celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026. From 4:00pm – 8:00pm on the lawn in Snowmass Base Village, enjoy endless games, bottomless adult beverages, tastings, and live music. Aspen Gran Fondo – June 27: The Aspen Cycling Club hosts their annual noncompetitive Aspen Gran Fondo on June 27 starting at 8:30am. A Gran Fondo is a long-distance ride traveling up and down the Roaring Fork Valley’s most iconic climbs. Cyclists of all abilities can choose their definition of a long ride: 36, 62, or 103 miles. Summer 2026 On-going Events 

The Collective Snowmass – Daily, starting June 6: The Collective Snowmass, the hub for culture and community activity in Snowmass Base Village, has a jam-packed calendar for Summer 2026. Returning favorites include Community Bingo, Chess Club, Fitness on the Rink, Movies Under the Stars, Snowmass Live Comedy Series, and Comedy WKND!. Check the calendar for new events like, Two-Step Tuesday, musical open mics, art & wellness workshops, ecstatic dance sessions, and other pop-up activities. The Collective also features yard games, splash pads, fountains, and playground throughout Snowmass Base Village. Ice Age Explorer Tours – Fridays, starting June 12: Did you know Snowmass is the site of the finest ice age fossil discovery in the world? Learn the full story of this remarkable discovery from an Aspen Science Center educator. Every Friday at 3:30pm, meet in the Limelight Snowmass lobby to learn about the mammoths and mastodons who used to live in Snowmass, and see replicas of Ice Age animal bones, teeth, tusks, and more. Then, follow along on a guided Ice Age Passport Walk through Base Village and the Snowmass Mall to see art inspired by the discovery and earn an Ice Age prize! ACES Guided Hikes – Daily, starting June 13: Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) returns to Snowmass this summer to lead twice daily hikes. The Snowmass Wildflower Walk begins at 10:00am, on the Nature Trail, while the Ice Age Discovery Walk starts at 1:00pm on the Discovery Trail. Hikes are led by a knowledgeable ACES Naturalist guide and feature natural history, facts about local flora and fauna, possible wildlife sightings, and species identification. Hikes leave from the Snowmass Mall Ticket Pavilion. www.gosnowmass.com/activity/aces/
