Snowmass Village, Colo., (May 3, 2019) – Today, Snowmass Tourism releases eight of thirteen bands for the 2019 Snowmass Free Concert Series. Celebrating its 28th season, the Snowmass Free Concert Series, June 13 – August 22, plays 11 consecutive Thursdays on Fanny Hill, in addition to two bonus Saturdays, June 8 and July 13. The lineup showcases country, soul, jazz, rock, and more.
New for the 2019 season is Rock for a Reason on July 13. In place of the Deaf Camp Benefit, nonprofits from around the Roaring Fork Valley have the opportunity to advocate for their causes on the slopes of Fanny Hill. Select non-profits are invited to share their vision with Snowmass community during the first ever Rock for a Reason.
“We are thrilled to continue the Snowmass Free Concert Series into its 28th year, and to extend the season an extra week this summer,” says Rose Abello, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “And, we are super excited to launch Rock for a Reason to showcase many of the local nonprofits who do such incredible work in our Valley. The Snowmass Free Concert Series includes à la carte food and drink vendors and a Kid’s Zone at all Thursday shows, complete with face painting, hula hooping, and more. Many Snowmass restaurants offer takeout picnics ranging from a roasted chicken feast from The Artisan, to a full BBQ dinner from the Limelight Snowmass Hotel. Concert-goers are encouraged to take advantage of the free RFTA transportation between Aspen and Snowmass and the Snowmass Village Shuttle Service from Town Park Station (Rodeo Lot) to the Snowmass Mall.

The JAS Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, August 30-September 1, features performances from Weezer, John Mayer, Sting, and Portugal. The Man. Additional acts include Luke Combs, H.E.R., ZZ Ward, and Turkuaz.
Guests can enjoy more free music at Fridays on the Mall, a weekly event featuring local musicians, as well as local artisans, food & drink specials, and more, every Friday, June 21-August 23.
