WHAT: BLUEBIRD Art + Sound (also known as BAS) is a leading-edge contemporary art and music festival debuting in Snowmass from June 30-July 2.
The weekend begins with the BAS Concert, featuring Drive-By Truckers, with the Seratones and The True Story Band on Friday, June 30. The experience continues on Saturday and Sunday with the BAS Art Experience, a fully-immersive, pop-up art exhibition featuring 20 contemporary artists from around the world including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Turkey, England, Greece, Mexico and China in a 2400 square foot structure. Works include leading-edge video + sound art, photography, virtual reality stations, animation, robotics and an indoor theatre.
The overall theme ‘U/S’ seeks to unite all through art + music.

Saturday, July 1 – Base Village Events Lawn
12:00-5:00 p.m. – BAS Art Experience, a fully immersive, interactive art experience titled ‘U/S’. Participating artists include Refik Anadol, Hsin Yu Lin, Jon Rafman, Rashaad Newsome, Adam Ferris, Nikita Gale, Otra Nation, Semiconductor, Jesse Fleming, Dread Scott, Casey Reas, Aaron Koblin, Kate Parsons, Ben Vance, Theo Trian, Miguel de Pedro, Nicole Miller, Neil Mendoza, and Julie Weitz.
1:00-2:00 p.m. – Discussion and Q&A with the artists of the BAS Art Experience.
4:00-5:00 p.m. – Premiere of Jesse Fleming’s new video installation “Remember”.
Sunday, July 2 – Base Village Events Lawn
12:00-5:00 p.m. – BAS Art Experience ‘U/S’ exhibition continues.
4:00-5:00 p.m. – Guided Meditation featuring a sound performance by Miguel de Pedro (Kid606).
6:00-10:00 p.m. – BAS Closing Party a party on the Base Village Plaza and Base Village Events Lawn, featuring DJ Naka G, Berkel Beats – An event not to be missed!
COST: BAS Concert: The Drive-by Truckers is $30; all other activities and events are free and open to the public. All ages welcome.
