WHAT:           For the first time in Colorado in 19 years, the sights and sounds of high-octane racing come alive on the streets of Snowmass Village. Kicking off the Motoring Classic Weekend, guests can watch as 60-70 vintage Corvettes, BMWs, Porsches, Mustangs, and formula race cars from the 1960s and 1970s fly by on Thursday, September 14^th from 9am-4pm.

The race course includes Upper Brush Creek Road and Lower Carriage Way, making a 1.3 mile loop. Each race is approximately 20 minutes long.

For race information, stop by the hospitality tent in the Base Village Arrival Center. The best viewing areas include the Arrival Center, Town Hall, Lots 4 & 7, and the Base Village Conference Center lot.

During the race sessions, the course and roads will be closed or restricted to regular traffic. Guests are encouraged to take the bus from the Intercept Lot or from the Rodeo Lot.

Traffic Impacts:

• Traffic will be restricted on upper Brush Creek Road and lower Carriage Way beginning at 7:00am on September 14th. During the race, traffic will be able to pass through the course between race sessions in ten minute intervals and one-way lanes, but motorists should expect delays.
• Wood Road will remain open at the roundabout but will be reduced to alternating one-way traffic.
• Elbert Lane will be closed to general traffic and parking beginning at 7:00 am. 

The Motoring Classic weekend continues on Saturday from 1:30pm-5:00pm with a car show at the Snowmass Town Park Softball Field featuring Porsche, Ferrari, Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing, BMW, Audi, Cobra, Viper, and more.
