Michelin-recommended chef Mawa McQueen takes great pride in her culinary approach using fresh, nutritious ingredients in creative ways, and is offering three different crepe batters: a gluten-free/vegan buckwheat flour; garbanzo bean flour; and regular flour. Other healthy, homemade options include gluten-free/dairy-free roasted tomato basil soup and gluten-free breads, organic ingredients including eggs, milk and almond milk, and local coffees, cappuccino, and fresh squeezed juices.

Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride with Aspen Gay Ski Week!

Aspen Gay Ski Week (AGSW) is the oldest annual, week-long LGBTQ+ ski event in the nation. A model for other LGBTQ+ ski weeks, AGSW offers a unique vacation experience in the scenic and historic mountain towns of Aspen and Snowmass in Colorado. AGSW visitors enjoy four mountains of varied skiing and snowboarding terrain, as well as cross-country skiing, snowshoe, and winter hiking trails in the Elk Mountains of Colorado.

AGSW 2026 officially kicks off on Sunday, January 11th with several action-packed events in Snowmass and Aspen. As always, find the latest schedule at the official event website.

The Collective will be hosting AGSW events all week. Check out their full calendar at TheCollectiveSnowmass.com. Highlights include Gay Ski Week Drag Queen Bingo Brunch, THREADS OF PRIDE Storytelling, Snowmass Live Comedy with Zach Noe Towers, and another Drag Brunch to close out a weekend of celebrating pride.

Not Just a Party – AGSW is a Non-Profit Fundraiser

AGSW is also the annual fundraising event for AspenOUT, a local non-profit and 501(c)(3) organization. AspenOUT focuses on anti-bullying and mental health services in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. The organization has been producing this event since 1996 for the purpose of funding local programs and supporting national organizations that fit our mission. Find out more at AspenOUT.org

X Games Aspen, a beloved action snow sports competition hosted by Aspen Snowmass, is back for another year at Buttermilk Mountain January 23-25. Watch slopeside as more than 100 of the world’s best ski and snowboard athletes compete for gold. The event will feature Ski and Snowboard SuperPipe, Slopestyle, Big Air and Knuckle Huck competitions.

The Mother Of All Ascensions is back! 

The Mother of All Ascensions is the best way to kick off Mardi Gras celebrations. Grab your snowshoes, alpine touring gear, stabilizers, and/or split boards and head to Snowmass Base Village on Tuesday, March 4th, to compete in the infamous Mardi Gras uphill race to High Alpine Marketplace.

Registration opens in late December. Visit the complete event page for all details.

Entry Fee: $60 ($30 from each entry goes to the Hope Center)

The uphill course starts slope side on Fanny Hill in Snowmass Base Village and ascends to the High Alpine Marketplace. Register online, sign the Aspen Skiing Company waiver, and show up Tuesday February 17th to get a climb on.

A post-race party follows the race at the Collective in Snowmass Base Village.

*Please be advised that Aspen Skiing Company uphilling policy remains in effect for 2026. If you do not have an ASC 2026 Uphill Pass, there will be no separate uphill pass fee for this event.

Pick up your bib and get your goodie bag after registering. Pickups will be in the Buttermilk Room at the Snowmass Conference & Events Center in Snowmass Base Village:

The Snow League Revolutionizes Winter Sports Competition

Back for its second year, Aspen Snowmass hosts the professional winter sports league exclusively dedicated to snowboarding, created by world-famous snowboarder Shaun White.

From February 26-28, Buttermilk will bring together athletes from around the world to compete in the event, showcasing their talent and innovation in the sport. With a focus on both head-to-head matchups and a season-long points system, each competition will build toward crowning the Snow League World Champion.

Buttermilk’s Premier Park & Pipe Hosts Opportunity for Young Athletes to Compete Like the Pros

The Revolution Tour, a four-day freeski and snowboard competition, will take place on the X Games Aspen halfpipe and slopestyle courses. Focused on up-and-coming athletes 13-19 years of age, the tour awards top athletes an invite to compete in the U.S. Grand Prix, Junior Worlds, and participate in Project Gold camps.

Events are open to prequalified athletes, but additional opportunities also are available to earn a chance to compete.

Head to Elk Camp for the Surf & Snow Beach Party for Snowmass Closing Day!

It’s time for the sun to set on another incredible season here in Snowmass with the Snowmass Closing Party. Closing weekend celebrations for the 2025/2026 season are on April 11, 2026. The official closing date for the mountain is Sunday, April 12.

Head to Elk Camp for live DJs, a pond skim, and beach vibes on the patio! Skiers must ski down by 4:15pm, and the gondola will be downloading passengers until 5pm. After 12pm, the gondola is free for foot passengers. For all the details on Saturday’s festivities, head to the Aspen Snowmass website!
