Believe it or not, the best way to get around Snowmass Village is without a car. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway or a week-long adventure, public transportation is not only easy, it’s also fun, safe, and cost-effective, as most options in the Village are free!
Getting around Snowmass Village is a breeze, and guess what? It’s totally free! Our awesome Village Shuttle is like your personal magic carpet, whisking you away to all the best spots. Whether you’re hitting the slopes, chilling at the park, or exploring different neighborhoods, our shuttle has you covered. It’s super easy to get where you need to go!
The shuttle routes begin at 7:00am, seven days a week, so you’re never stranded. While route times and frequency change with the seasons, you can always catch a ride.
If you’re somewhere off the main route or it’s after hours, just use the on-demand service and the shuttle will come pick you up. Request a ride here.

For an easy lift between Base Village and the Mall and to save your legs from a steep walk, hop on the Sky Cab gondola—affectionately known as “The Skittles” because of their bright red, yellow, blue and green cabs. It’s a free service and easily connects Snowmass Base Village with the Snowmass Mall. You can grab a cocktail on the Mall, then head down to the Village for dinner. From June 12-August 31, the gondola operates daily from 9:00am to 9:00pm.

Catch a free, up to 30-minute ride on a WE-cycle bike. The best part about WE-cycle is that their fleet of bicycles are all electric bikes, or e-bikes. Although Snowmass is bike friendly, it has a lot of hills—so the pedal assist from the WE-cycle is a great boost to your ride! WE-cycle is intended for shorter trips around town. For longer rides, check out e-bike rentals from Blazing Adventures or Four Mountain Sports. If you need to pop over to Snowmass Town Center for some last-minute grocery items or drop your dry cleaning, WE-cycle is a great way to run errands. Download the app and learn more about this free service here.
Note: The Snowmass Village Shuttle welcomes bicycles on all of its buses during the summer months (please note that this is not consistent with RFTA’s policies. Please review their website if you plan on boarding a RFTA bus). The number of bicycles each bus can carry varies. If the racks are full, it will be necessary to wait for the next bus.

Staying in Aspen and wanting to come to Snowmass, or coming up from Glenwood, Carbondale, or Basalt on the bus? No problem. Park for free at the Brush Creek Intercept Lot or Town Park Station and catch a RFTA bus up to the Village. It’s a stress-free way to avoid parking and be dropped off closest to where you need to be.
Note: There is limited parking at Town Park Station during the Snowmass Rodeo on Wednesday nights in the summer. Guests are encouraged to use public transportation from the Brush Creek Park & Ride, the Town of Snowmass Village Numbered lots, or the Base Village Parking Garage. Overflow parking is available at Two Creeks, and free shuttles are available to and from the Rodeo Grounds. If staying in Snowmass, most properties provide free shuttles to and from the rodeo grounds.
For the easiest way to find transportation options in Snowmass, download the Transit app. It shows real-time bus locations and upcoming stops, including the RFTA schedule. The Transit app will make your time in Snowmass easier to plan and much less expensive! To move around within Snowmass Village, download the Village Shuttle app, where you can request rides after main hours of operation.
