Snowmassive Celebration Weekend Lineup

Snowmassive Celebration, December 13-15 Showcases All Things Snowmass

Snowmass Village, Colo., (December 9, 2019) – Snowmass Village lights up December 13-15 for the Snowmassive Celebration. The weekend event features the Snowmass Light Festival, live ice carving demonstrations, the SnowMASSIVE SnowBikeCross practices and races, complimentary Dynafit demos and guided uphill sessions, an ice skating show, restaurant & retail specials, and much more. Snowmassive Celebration takes place concurrently with Passapalooza.

 

Snowmassive Celebration Weekend Lineup:

Snowmass Base Village, Fanny Hill, and the Snowmass Mall come to life from 4:30pm-10:00pm on Friday and Saturday nights for the Snowmass Light Festival, featuring unique, immersive and interactive art and light-based installations. Installations include multi-media video mapping, featuring Aspen Skiing Company’s marketing campaign, Give A Flake; a 3D snow projection complete with animations by artist George Berlin; a “Totally Tubular” large scale LED installation designed to transform natural surroundings, featuring 48 Titan LED tubes arranged to look like a forest of multi colored trees; as well as interactive LED inflatable animals, photobooth, art, and games. In addition, illuminated ice sculptures adorn the Snowmass Mall and in Snowmass Base Village starting on Friday with a live ice sculpting demo at 3:00pm on the Snowmass Mall. Additional live sculpting demos continue throughout the early part of the day on Saturday.

 

On Friday night, The Little Red Schoolhouse hosts their annual fundraiser, Chips for Charity¸ a casino night at The Collective Snowmass from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Tickets are $100 and include games, food by mix6, two drink tickets, and a raffle.

 

During the day on Saturday, guests and locals can take advantage of complimentary demos from Dynafit, a guided Dynafit uphill demo session, and free ski & snowboard equipment demos on Fanny Hill from ski and snowboard reps from around the country, and from the Four Mountain Sports stores in Snowmass Base Village.

 

On Saturday evening, starting at 5:00pm, guests can enjoy an Ice Skating Show on The Rink in Snowmass Base Village, complete with fire dancers and the Aspen Skating Club; free rock climbing at the Limelight Hotel Snowmass on the hotel’s five-story, indoor climbing wall; and music by DJ Naka G.

 

All weekend long, SnowMASSIVE SnowBikeCross takes place on Assay Hill with practice, qualifying runs, a freestyle show, and races. SnowBikeCross is a mix of snowmobiling and motorcross. These high octane races are not to be missed!

 

Throughout the Snowmassive Celebration, guests can enjoy restaurant specials around the Village, as well as check out all the new restaurants, retailors and activities including the newly opened Collective Snowmass. The Collective Snowmass features a new restaurant concept, mix6, by award-winning Aspen chef Martin Oswald; MoxiBar, offering inventive cocktails, craft beers, and renowned wines; and the new Game Lounge with an interactive music wall, neon foosball, table tennis, retro-inspired arcade games, Zeigler Reservoir ball pool, large scale coloring wall, video games, and more. The weekend also marks the 10th anniversary of Viceroy Snowmass, complete with packages, specials, and more all season long.

 

The Snowmassive Celebration takes place in conjunction with Passapalooza. Passapalooza grants access to all four Aspen Snowmass mountains for only $59 per day for skiers and riders who have a valid 2019/2020 pass from any ski resort in the world. Passapalooza also offers $99 clinics from the Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen Snowmass as well as $56 demo packages available at all Four Mountain Sports locations.
