Snowmass Village, Colo., (March 26, 2026) – Calling all artists! Today, Snowmass Tourism announces the Snowmass Balloon Festival Design Contest. Snowmass Tourism is seeking local artists to submit an original design for a chance to be featured on the 2026 Snowmass Balloon Festival official festival posters, t-shirts, and signage. 

“This contest is an opportunity to showcase creative talent while helping shape the visual identity of one of Snowmass’ most iconic events,” said Julia Theisen, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “We’re excited to see how artists interpret this year’s featured balloon and bring fresh perspective to the festival.” 

The winning artist will receive $500 cash prize, one festival t-shirt and one festival poster featuring their design, as well as a Snowmass swag bag. All submission must prominently incorporate this year’s featured balloon. Both digital and handmade artwork are welcome. Each artist may submit one entry. This contest is open to everyone — all ages, skill levels, and locations are welcome. The contest opens on April 1, 2026. All submissions are due by June 1, 2026, to be reviewed by a panel of judges. The winner will be announced on June 15, 2026.
