New in Snowmass, CO for Winter 2019

Winter 2019 Brings Additional New Eateries, Retail Shops, Co-Working Spaces, and More to Snowmass Village

Snowmass Village, Colo., (January 15, 2019) – January 2019 marks the start of a new year and sees the debut of a new era in Snowmass. Following the success of the opening of Snowmass Base Village on December 15, 2018, 2019 brings even more new offerings to both Snowmass Base Village and the Snowmass Mall. New eateries, a co-working space, additional retailers, and a new home for the Ice Age Discovery Center round out all that is new in Snowmass for the winter 2018/2019 season.

 

Grub Thai

Located in the former Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory space on the Snowmass Mall, Grub Thai, slated to open February 25, serves authentic Thai food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Open from 8:00am-9:00pm, Grub Thai offers a variety of stir fry noodles, noodle soup, pho, rice dishes, and salads. For breakfast, highlights include Thai bubble waffles, Thai boba tea, smoothies, coffee, and more. Grub Thai offers limited indoor and outdoor seating, with pricing ranging from $7-$13.

 

Engage Co-Working Space

Located on the Snowmass Mall above Gene Taylor Sports, the new Engage Co-Working Space seeks to fill the ever growing need for the non-traditional work atmosphere. Slated to open at the end of January, the space offers five dedicated private offices and 28 desks. Amenities include high speed Wi-Fi, hot and cold beverages, restrooms, a large conference room, copy/scan/print options, lockers, sit/stand desks, and a common kitchenette. Members and non-members are welcome to use the space, Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.

 

Double Black Noodle Bar

Coming in late January, the Double Black Noodle Bar is slated to open inside the Wildwood Snowmass. Led by Chef David Miles, Double Black Noodle Bar serves Asian inspired dishes from ramen noodle bowls, ahi poke, and favorites like chilled soba noodle salad. Menu offerings also include sake, Asian beers, and wine. In addition to the new menu at Double Black Noodle Bar, Chef David Miles and his culinary team, have created new menus at Snowmass Kitchen and Vue Lounge, located inside the Westin Snowmass, and a new menu for The Bar at Wildwood. Items include burrata bruschetta, bison & potato carpaccio, crispy skin trout, and artisan pizzas.

 

New Shops on the Snowmass Mall

Changes on the Snowmass Mall for 2019 include the addition of Strafe Outerwear, a local ski apparel company, which takes over the former Ice Age Discovery Center location. The Ice Age Discovery Center’s new home is on the second floor of the Snowmass Mall, adjacent to Zane’s Tavern, above the new Grub Thai.

 

The New Snowmass Base Village

The Crêpe Shack by Mawa’s Kitchen, Limelight Snowmass Hotel & Lounge, CODough Bar by Sweet Coloradough, Ice Skating Rink, Lumin Building, and The Collective Snowmass debuted in Snowmass Base Village on December 15, 2018. The Collective Snowmass, a community hub of events, activities, and popups, continues to evolve its offerings throughout 2019 with programming including Saturdate Night with Camp SMashbox, Anderson Ranch Art Après, Native Storytelling, Yoga & Wine nights, and more. Events rotate weekly, with new happenings debuting all season long. Also new for 2019 in Snowmass Base Village is free Wi-Fi in all public spaces.
