Snowmass Village, Colo., (May 27, 2025) – This June, Snowmass Village launches into summer with a dynamic lineup of events that showcase the town’s signature blend of adventure, culture, and community. From local favorites Snowmass Rendezvous and the beloved Snowmass Free Concert Series to Western traditions like the Snowmass Rodeo, and new events like the Community Kickoff and Summer Block Party, the month offers something for everyone.

Ragnar Trail Colorado – June 6-7: Ragnar Trail Colorado returns in 2025 for a gritty trifecta of the most scenic trail running loops Mother Nature can serve up. Each trail loop begins and ends at Ragnar Village in Snowmass Town Park. Teams of eight run relay style, rotating through three loops, varying from easy to difficult, over a 24-hour period. Snowmass Free Concert Series – June 12-August 21: Celebrating 33 years of free live music this summer, the Snowmass Free Concert Series, a locals’ favorite summer tradition, returns to Fanny Hill every Thursday evening at 6:30pm. The weekly outdoor series features a spectrum of sounds including country, reggae, rock, funk, bluegrass, and more. Doors open at 5:30pm; concert at 6:30pm. Snowmass Rendezvous – June 14: Snowmass Rendezvous returns to Snowmass for its ninth year of libations and fun. From 2:00pm – 6:00pm enjoy endless games, bottomless adult beverages, tastings, and live music. Tickets give access to multiple Rendezvous venues around the Village, complete with unlimited wine, beer, and spirit tastings, outdoor gear activations, games, and more. Snowmass Rodeo – June 18-August 20: The iconic Snowmass Rodeo is a long-standing Western tradition celebrating 51 years this summer. Complete with authentic cowboys and cowgirls competing in all the rodeo classics, including barrel riding, saddle bronc, bull riding, and much more, this Wednesday evening staple is not to be missed. The Snowmass Rodeo takes place on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, rain or shine. Doors open at 5:00pm for a BBQ dinner and activities. *New – Snowmass Community Kickoff – June 21: Gear up for summer during the Snowmass Community Kickoff, Saturday, June 21 from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Enjoy the opening weekend of the Elk Camp Gondola, which gives access to the Lost Forest, Elk Camp Restaurant, and Snowmass Bike Park. In Snowmass Base Village, a community gathering brings together Town of Snowmass Village departments for an afternoon of engagement, education, and fun. The afternoon features essential services, outdoor recreation, and community resources. Aspen Gran Fondo – June 28: The Aspen Cycling Club hosts their annual noncompetitive Aspen Gran Fondo on June 28, starting at 8:30am. A Gran Fondo is a long-distance ride traveling up and down the Roaring Fork Valley’s most iconic climbs. Cyclists of all abilities can choose their definition of a long ride: 36, 62, or 103 miles. Snowmass Dog Wash – June 29, July 27: From 12:00pm-2:00pm, bring Fido out to Snowmass Base Village for an afternoon dedicated to the dogs. The Collective Snowmass – Daily, June-September: The Collective Snowmass, the hub for culture and community activity in Snowmass Base Village, has a jam-packed calendar for Summer 2025! Returning favorites include Community Bingo, Chess Club, Fitness on the Rink, Movies Under the Stars, and the Snowmass Live Comedy Series. Check the calendar for unique events like salsa dancing lessons, relaxing wellness workshops, ecstatic dance sessions, and many other pop-up activities. The Collective also features yard games, splash pads, fountains, and playground throughout Snowmass Base Village. The Game Lounge and Selfie Den are open Tuesday-Sunday, 2:00pm-8:00pm; free for children 5 and under, $10 for everyone 6 and over. Always ask about the locals rate at the Game Lounge! ACES Guided Hikes – Daily, June 14 – September 1; Weekends only in September: Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) returns to Snowmass this summer to lead twice daily hikes. The Snowmass Wildflower Walk begins at 10:00am, on the Nature Trail, while the Ice Age Discovery Walk starts at 1:00pm on the Discovery Trail. Hikes are led by a knowledgeable ACES Naturalist guide and feature natural history, facts about local flora and fauna, possible wildlife sightings, and species identification. Ice Age Explorer Tours – Fridays, June 13 – September 26: Did you know Snowmass is the site of the finest ice age fossil discovery in the world? Learn the full story of this remarkable discovery from an Aspen Science Center educator. Every Friday at 3:30pm, meet in the Limelight Snowmass lobby to learn about the mammoths and mastodons who used to live in Snowmass, and see replicas of Ice Age animal bones, teeth, tusks, and more. Then, follow along on a guided Ice Age Passport Walk through Base Village and the Snowmass Mall to see art inspired by the discovery and earn an Ice Age prize!
