Get Ready to Rock This Independence Day!

Celebrate the Fourth of July in Snowmass with a special free concert by The Spazmatics, taking the stage for their third consecutive year! Join for a performance from the 80s-inspired band on Fanny Hill, get some free patriotic swag, and glow in the dark goodies. Get grooving with us, as the Spazmatics bring one of our favorite decades back to life for the night.

 

Note: Concerts happen rain or shine, barring lightning conditions.

Wednesday Night: Snowmass Rodeo

Giddy up at the Snowmass Rodeo! Enjoy barbecue starting at 5:00pm (be sure to get there early), then grab a drink and stick around for the rodeo. With the long summer days, the sunset is sure to be spectacular view from the stands.

Thursday Night: Snowmass Free Concert Series, featuring The Texas Gentlemen

Thursday nights in Snowmass are a local favorite, with free, live music every Thursday in the summer on Fanny Hill. This week, the Texas Gentlemen kick off the weekend in style. 

Friday Night: Rock Garden Concert Series

We take our music seriously here in Snowmass. Head to the Rock Garden, located at the end of the Snowmass Mall next to Fanny Hill, for more live music. After or during, stop by one of the nearby restaurant patios for dinner.

Weekend: Brunch at Elk Camp and The Cabin

Indulgent brunch and mimosas should be a must-do on vacation. This summer, enjoy brunch at Elk Camp or The Cabin. To get to Elk Camp, you can take the gondola up to the restaurant. If you prefer to work for it, you can hike or bike to your meal at either The Cabin or Elk Camp Restaurant. Reservations are encouraged! *Please note that The Cabin is only accessible by foot or bike.

Getting to the Snowmass Concerts

If you are driving, all numbered lots along Carriage Way offer free parking during the summer months. The numbered lots give access to the Snowmass Mall and Base Village. Parking is free in the Base Village Parking Garage as well. If you park in the garage, you can ride the free Sky Cab Gondola (known as the Skittles) between Base Village and the Snowmass Mall. Free parking is also available at Town Park Station and the Brush Creek Park & Ride (Intercept Lot), with free shuttles to the Snowmass Mall and Base Village. Free bus transportation is available via RFTA bus service from Aspen and the Brush Creek Park & Ride, or the free Village Shuttle service throughout Snowmass.

Some Snowmass Free Concert DOs and DON’Ts:

No Pets: Dogs have very acute hearing and the loud noise can actually be harmful to your pet. In compliance with ADA Guidelines, service animals are permitted inside the venue and must remain with their owners. This does NOT include emotional support animals, comfort animals and therapy dogs. 

Drinks are sold on site, including water and alcoholic beverages. While outside alcohol is not permitted, sealed, non-alcoholic beverages are allowed (no glass, please!).  Feel free to bring your empty water bottle, we have a water filling station available inside the venue!

No outside alcohol is permitted. There is a staffed bar inside the venue where you can purchase alcoholic beverages (all canned items…beer, wine, & cocktails).  Alcoholic beverages can only be purchased by someone 21 years old or older.  Proper ID will be required and checked to receive a wristband before purchasing alcohol.  Alcohol may NOT leave the concert venue.

What to bring: We suggest a picnic blanket or low chairs to sit on, and a jacket or sweater for after the sun goes down, as well as an umbrella or jacket for any inclement weather. Many Snowmass restaurants in Base Village and The Mall offer take out for the perfect concert dinner picnic. Arriving early? Check out the patios at Stew Pot, Venga Venga or Ranger Station on The Mall or Base Village, Limelight and Mawita in Base Village for drinks and apps while you wait for your squad.
