From skiing and riding in the winter, to hiking and biking in the summer, Snowmass is best known for its bountiful activities on the mountain. With the addition of the new Breathtaker Coaster, your time in Snowmass just got a little more thrilling.
The newest on-mountain attraction in Snowmass is the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, debuting in December. The coaster is located at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola and will be open for winter, summer, and evening operations. The adrenaline packed coaster features individual cars, controlled by the rider, which makes for a speedy, twisting and turning ride down the mountain. The Coaster lasts between seven and nine minutes, depending how often you pull the brakes.
The Breathtaker Alpine Coaster is part of the Lost Forest, Snowmass’ new on-mountain enhancement project, featuring a climbing wall, ropes course, zipline tours and more. The additional activities within the Lost Forest are set to open for operations in Summer 2018. Check out the map below to see exactly what the lay out of Elk Camp will be once the project is completed.
Guests can purchase an Activities Pass, good for two hour sessions from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., which includes unlimited rides on the Breathtaker Coaster and on the tubing hill. The Breathtaker Alpine Coaster is available during the day as well as in the evenings during Ullr nights.
