Snowmass Tourism Announces Appointments of New National Sales Manager & Group Sales Specialist

Margot Ellis and Lisa Jennings Join Snowmass Tourism Team in May

Snowmass Village, Colo., (May 15, 2019) – Snowmass Tourism is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the Snowmass Tourism Group Sales Department. Margot Ellis, a long time Roaring Fork Valley local, joins the team as national sales manager, and Lisa Jennings returns to the Roaring Fork Valley after a two-year stint in Texas, as the new group sales specialist. Both begin their positions at the end of May.

 

“We are very excited and pleased to have both Margot and Lisa join the Snowmass Tourism Group Sales Department,” says Mark Scheller, Group Sales Director, Snowmass Tourism. “Each brings unique qualities and experiences that will further support our sales efforts, not to mention they both exude professionalism and positivity that will fit well within our department. We are looking forward to having both represent Snowmass within the meeting planning and group planning communities.”

 

Margot Ellis, a long time Roaring Fork Valley local, joins Snowmass Tourism from Blazing Adventures, where, most recently, she was the assistant director of group sales. In addition, Ellis served the company as a group sales manager and an adventure guide. Her nine-year tenure with the Snowmass Village-based company gives her insight into the distinct attributes of the Snowmass community. In addition, Ellis has worked as a production assistant for JAS Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival and as an assistant manager at Sharpshooter Imaging. She is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Georgetown College of Arts & Sciences, where she majored in studio-art photography and government. In her free time, Ellis enjoys anything involving the outdoors, including skiing, backpacking, camping, biking, river trips, and coaching lacrosse. In her new role, Ellis is most excited to showcase how incredible Snowmass is to potential groups and visitors from around the country.

 

Lisa Jennings returns to the Roaring Fork Valley after moving here in 2008 and spending the past 2 years in Austin, Texas, as a  project coordinator for Cvent, an event management company based there. Prior to her move to Texas, Jennings worked as the group and leisure sales manager for The Sky Hotel Aspen, as well as group sales manager for Frias Properties of Aspen. Jennings also has prior tenures at The Ritz Carlton Aspen Highlands and Aspen Chamber Resort Association. She is a graduate of James Madison University, with a major in hospitality tourism management. She is also a graduate of the 2016 Roaring Fork Leadership Program. In her free time, Jennings enjoys going to concerts at Belly Up, hiking, yoga, exploring new restaurants, and being outside. She is excited for her new role at Snowmass Tourism and looks forward to meeting and ingraining herself back into the Snowmass and Roaring Fork Valley Communities.
