Snowmass Village, Colo., (March 29, 2022) – Snowmass Tourism is pleased to announce the appointment of Debbie Krigel Collins to the Snowmass Tourism team. Collins joins the team as the new Tourism Manager. Her first day was March 28.

“We are delighted to welcome Debbie to the Snowmass Tourism team,” says Rose Abello, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “She is a long-time resident of the Roaring Fork Valley and has deep roots in Snowmass where she has previously worked. She brings great relationships with many of our Snowmass stakeholders, and we can’t wait to tap into her many skills in this newly created role.”

Collins moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2005, where she worked for Blazing Adventures as a raft guide, in addition to several other seasonal jobs. She eventually moved into the role of Sales and Marketing Director at Blazing Adventures, before joining the Aspen Music Festival & School, where she spent the past seven years as the Director of Housing + Facilities Administrator. In her role at the Aspen Music Festival & School, she negotiated contracts and lodging for 300+ faculty, staff, and visiting artists every year. In addition, she prepared and managed all facilities budgets for both the Bucksbaum and Meadows campuses.

In her new role at Snowmass Tourism, Collins will oversee the Tourism budgets and special events permit systems, as well as provide shared services support for the Group Sales, Marketing, and Special Events teams. She will work closely with Snowmass stakeholders on contracts, lodging requests, rooming lists, and special events, in addition to other duties.

Collins is an avid skier, mountain biker, and trail runner. She lives in Carbondale with her husband, 5-year-old daughter, and dog, Teddy. She is most looking forward to learning more about the ins and outs of Snowmass and becoming a greater part of the community.
