Revel in the Luck O’ the Irish in Snowmass

Snowmass St. Patrick’s Day Festivities Include On-mountain Parties, Free Boomerang Videos, Restaurant Specials, a Starlit Trek, and More

Snowmass Village, Colo., (March 7, 2018) – Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Snowmass on Saturday, March 17, 2018 with a full day of festivities, both on and off mountain. Snowmass shows off its best Kelly green and features activities including the second annual Ullrhoff Games, Après on the Bricks, a Starlit Trek, and much more. Corned beef and cabbage, green beer, and Irish whiskey flow at a variety of restaurants all day long. Be sure to stop by Snowmass Base Village to show off the St. Patrick’s Day spirit between 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. for a free boomerang courtesy of SocialLight Photo. Saturday, March 17th Snowmass St. Patrick’s Day Lineup:

1:00 p.m. – Ullrhoff Games

Ullrhoff Games return to Ullrhoff for the second year running. The event includes a deck party, beer and food specials, a DJ, and prize giveaways, all surrounding the main event – The Ullrhoff Games. Teams compete in beer pong, speed quarters, corn hole, and more for prizes. Bystanders can take a spin on a blender bike to make their own margaritas and to enter for a chance to win additional prizes.

2:00 – 4:30 p.m. – Family Fun at Après on the Bricks

Snowmass Base Village comes alive to the beats of DJ Benny, spinning alongside free activities including face painters, balloon artists, dancers, and more. Snowmass’ Ice Age mascot, Snowy the Mammoth, is on hand from 2:30-3:30 p.m. for photo ops. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

3:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Snowmass S’mores

New for adults and kids alike, guests of all ages can enjoy Snowmass S’mores, free s’mores with a unique Snowmass spin from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. every day. Guests can find branded s’mores carts at the fire pits in Base Village and the Snowmass Mall, where they can choose from a menu of out-of-the-ordinary s’mores fixings to roast and build their perfect s’more. St. Patrick’s Day offerings include The Classic (Graham Cracker + Marshmallow + Milk Chocolate), Mint to Be (Chocolate Thin + Marshmallow + Mint Chocolate), and Oh Snap! (Gingerbread Cookie + Marshmallow + Milk Chocolate).

4:00 p.m. – Close. Base Camp Stoked Party

DJ Rama heats up the party upstairs at Base Camp Bar & Grill starting at 4:00 p.m. Sponsored by Goslings Rum and Jefferson’s Bourbon, the Base Camp Stoke Party features tons of free giveaways and swag, as well as corned beef and cabbage specials, green beer, and Car Bombs.

6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Starlit Trek & Dinner

Take part in a 1.2-mile snowshoe or cross-country ski tour around the Snowmass Golf Course. Stop along the way for cocoa and cookies at Anderson Ranch Arts Center. During the Starlit Treks series, an ACES night-sky interpreter will be on hand to provide constellation facts, with details on popular star patterns, planet alignments, Milky Way facts, and much more. At the end of the evening, enjoy a pasta dinner, s’mores under the stars at the Black Saddle Bar & Grille and live music by Tom Paxton.

 

St. Patrick’s Day Restaurant Specials:

Big Hoss Grill serves beer specials and Irish Car Bombs while DJ Ras Gis spins from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Elk Camp Restaurant celebrates with corned beef and cabbage, Irish stout beef stew, Irish whiskey bread pudding, lucky charms krispies, and much more at their à la carte buffet.

Gwyn’s High Alpine serves Guinness beer battered fish and chips as well as corned beef and cabbage soup. Irish Car Bomb specials are available at both bars, and members of the staff will be dressed in their green best. Jimmy Dykann plays live.

New Belgium Ranger Station showcases Boulder Brewing Company beer during a tap takeover.

Sage Restaurant & Bar features menu items including Guinness & beef pot pie, corned beef and cabbage, potato cheddar soup, salmon, and chocolate Guinness cake from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Slopeside Lanes – offers $4 and $5 beer selections, and a Car Bomb special.

Slow Groovin’ BBQ features an Irish beer lineup and live music starting at 4:00 p.m.

The Edge Restaurant & Bar serves Irish stew, mussels steamed in Guinness, and steins of green beer.

The Stew Pot features corned beef and lamb stew, as well as Guinness and Irish whiskey specials.

Two Creeks Café serves a corned beef Rueben special and Irish coffee.

Venga Venga features corned beef tacos, green drinks, and a DJ from 3:00 – 6:00p.m.
