Changes Abound on Snowmass Tourism’s Events Team

Shane Vetter Joins Snowmass Tourism Team as Senior Events Producer; Taylor Smith Promoted to Events Producer

Snowmass Village, Colo., (March 12, 2023) – Snowmass Tourism is pleased to announce the appointment of Shane Vetter, who joins the Tourism team as the new Senior Events Producer. His first day was April 5. Additionally, Taylor Smith, former Events Coordinator, has been promoted to Events Producer.

 

“We are pleased to evolve the Snowmass Tourism events team with these two appointments,” says Rose Abello, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “Shane brings a passion for our community and broad international event experience to this important role.  And to be able to promote a talented and well-deserving team member is always special – we are so proud of Taylor and look forward to her continued contributions in her new role.”

 

Vetter has lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for over 20 years and has been producing concerts, events, and various productions for over 25 years. For the past seven years, he was the tour and production manager for a variety of national touring acts. In this role, Vetter traveled around the country and around the world managing production schedules for an array of performances, working with venues, festivals, and tour managers on logistics. He has also served as the production manager and senior audio engineer for Belly Up Aspen. 

 

Vetter’s role at Snowmass Tourism as the Senior Events Producer includes leading the Snowmass Tourism Events team, developing strategy, and implementing special events in Snowmass Village to support residents and visitors alike. The position includes working in conjunction with Snowmass stakeholders and the Town of Snowmass Village to identify potential key event partners, maintaining the events budget, managing a robust calendar of events, and providing leadership and guidance within the Tourism office.

 

Vetter lives in Burlingame with his wife and two children. He is an avid mountain athlete and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding. He has been to every major city in the continental US and over 40 countries around the world.

 

Taylor Smith, former Events Coordinator, has been promoted to Events Producer. Smith has worked with Snowmass Tourism for 5 years. In her new role, she is responsible for producing and executing a comprehensive and varied roster of events to support the economic vitality of Snowmass Village. She works closely with the greater Snowmass Tourism team and community to conceptualize, plan, and execute all special events. Smith lives in Burlingame with her husband and cat, Dutton. She enjoys mountain biking, trips to Moab, and charcuterie boards.
