JAS Labor Day Experience Long Weekend Itinerary

<< View All Posts

Kicking off with the Snowmass Rendezvous Craft Beer Festival and continuing on with Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, the Snowmass summer events calendar is full of endless fun. But the events aren’t the only thing promising you a memorable stay in Snowmass Village, CO. If you are coming to enjoy the live music for the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, we highly recommend making it a longer weekend so that you can be sure to fully enjoy all that Snowmass has to offer.

Arrive on Tuesday and start your week off right with an afternoon at Elk Camp. Ride the Elk Camp Gondola and experience the Lost Forest’s Breathtaker Alpine Coaster or Treeline Challenge Course. Stop for lunch at the Elk Camp Restaurant and enjoy a farm-fresh meal. A must while you’re there – ride the chairlift to the top of Elk Camp (with or without your bike) and take in spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the Maroon Bells. (Did you know Snowmass has a secret view of the Maroon Bells?) Choose to hike down, bike down or just hop back on the chairlift/gondola back to the base.

Plan to start Wednesday off with a hike along the Rim Trail. With a gradual climb up and breathtaking views all along the way, there is no better way to start your day! After an exhilarating hike up to the Yin Yang (pictured right) on the Rim Trail South, head over to Fuel for coffee and the local’s favorite breakfast burritos.

In the evening, dine at Il Poggio, a long-time local’s favorite serving up delicious Italian dishes with a nice casual vibe. The gnocchi pasta is highly recommended!

On Thursday, choose another biking or hiking trail from one of the many available in Snowmass. You can head over to HikeSnowmass.com or BikeSnowmass.com a filter by categories like kid and dog friendliness, length, distance and difficulty to find a trail that best suits your ability and for trail maps that will guide you along on your hiking or biking adventure.

After building up an appetite, spend Thursday evening dining at one of Snowmass’ 30 restaurants.  For German inspired cuisine, head to The Edge (pictured right). For American tavern style try Ranger Station or Zane’s. Or, try something uniquely Coloradoan and dine at State 38 in the Snowmass Base Village. State 38 features a delicious Colorado beef tartare as a starter and a burger with house-ground chuck for a dinner that will satisfy.

Now that you are fueled by the beautiful outdoors and tasty food, enjoy a long weekend of world-class live music at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, in a world-class setting.
