A Snowmass summer tradition 27 years in the making, the Snowmass Free Concert Series is a must-do music event. Every Thursday evening (and two bonus Saturdays), locals and visitors alike gather on Fanny Hill to enjoy some of the country’s best live bands in a relaxed atmosphere with a spectacular mountain backdrop.
Tonight’s band: Gasoline Lollipops – Folk/Punk
About the band: Gasoline Lollipops is a Colorado band that combines the sincerity of dirt-floor folk with the energy and rebelliousness of punk. It’s an all-new incarnation of alt-country that’s both high energy and heartfelt, like the American highway’s soundtrack. The GasPops have shared stages with such respected artists as Lucero, Dale Watson, Todd Snider, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club and others. They’ve also been on the bills of numerous great live-music festivals, including Divide Festival; Salmonfest Alaska; NedFest; Bohemian Nights @ New West Fest; the Denver Post’s Underground Music Showcase; BrewGrass; YarmonyGrass; Higher Ground Music Festival; Westword Music Showcase; Empire Americana; FoCoMX; Frozen Dead Guy Days; and the highly anticipated Grandoozy Festival.

What to bring: We suggest a picnic blanket or chairs to sit on, and a jacket or sweater for after the sun goes down. For food, pack a picnic, grab to-go items from a nearby Snowmass restaurant, or purchase food from the vendors on Fanny Hill.
Where to go: Concerts are held on the Fanny Hill Concert Stage at the end of the Snowmass Mall. We recommend taking the free RFTA bus service from Aspen and the Intercept Lot, or the free Village Shuttle service throughout Snowmass. It is best to get off at the Snowmass Mall stop.
If you are driving, all numbered lots along Carriage Way and the Base Village Parking Garage offer free parking during the summer months. If you park in the garage, you can ride the free Sky Cab Gondola (known as the Skittles) between Base Village and the Snowmass Mall. Free parking is also available at Town Park Station and the Brush Creek Intercept Lot, with free shuttles to the Snowmass Mall and Base Village. For more event parking information, please click here.
Community Photo & Town Council Discussion: Starting at 6:00 p.m., the Snowmass Village Town Council will host “Get the Scoop.” Members of the Town Council will give away free ice cream and will be available to meet and discuss any topic of interest. All are invited to come and connect with the Council, ask questions, provide feedback directly to their elected officials, while enjoying free ice cream.
During intermission, Snowmass Tourism invites community members to gather on Fanny Hill for the second annual community photo. Participation is encouraged, rain or shine. Please wear a shirt/top in the color listed below to represent the decade you arrived in Snowmass.
