A Brazilian Wildlife Safari: The Pantanal and Elsewhere | January 14, 6PM | Presented by Mark Fuller

In August of 2019, Mark and Penny Fuller and friends spent two weeks exploring southern Brazil, finding birds and other wildlife in Bonito, the Pantanal, and Iguassu Falls. This remote area is a treasure trove of pristine habitat, geological and aquatic wonders, and thousands of species of exotic birds and animals. Mark’s presentation will feature colorful photographs and fascinating notes on the natural history of this little-known locale.

Mark moved to Aspen in 1971. He worked for Pitkin County in a variety of positions for many years, and later had his own consulting business for 20 years specializing in environmental, land use, and local government. He is the former Director of the Independence Pass Foundation, former Executive Director of the Ruedi Water and Power Authority, and a current Board Member of Roaring Fork Audubon and the Watershed Biological Inventory. He was the photographer for the book “Birds of Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley,” which was published last year.
