26th Season Features Eleven Free Performances, with Highlights Including Brothers Keeper with John Popper, Lukas Nelson, and More
Snowmass, Colo., (April 18, 2017) – Today, Snowmass Tourism releases the full lineup for the 2017 Snowmass Free Concert Series. Now in its 26th year, the Snowmass Free Concert Series hosts ten free concerts on the stage at Fanny Hill, and one concert on the Base Village Events Lawn. The Snowmass Free Concert Series begins on June 10 and plays through September 9.
“The Snowmass Free Concert Series is a long-standing Snowmass tradition that provides locals and visitors the opportunity to experience live music in a stunning mountain setting,” says Rose Abello, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “Some of the notable concerts of the summer include Lukas Nelson, son of music legend Willie Nelson; See-I, featuring members of Thievery Corporation; and prolific harmonica player, John Popper. No matter who takes the stage, a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and a beautiful backdrop are always favorite co-stars.”
Formerly known as the Thursday Night Concerts, these free live music events now take place on select Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays throughout the summer to allow for a broader roster of musicians, as well as to coincide with Snowmass events such as the Snowmass Rendezvous Craft Beer Festival, the Colorado Scottish Festival, and the Snowmass Balloon Festival.
