Snowmass Closes Out the 2016/2017 Ski Season in Style with Beach Themed Parties Around the Village on April 15, 2017

Closing Parties Include a Swimsuit Ski Down, Pig Roast, Dueling DJ’s, Après Specials, and More

Snowmass, Colo., (April 6, 2017) – Snowmass celebrates the end of the 2016/2017 ski season with Spring Fling – a beach themed closing day bash starting on-mountain and ending in Snowmass Village. Snowmass’ Spring Fling closing celebrations takes place on April 15th, the day before Snowmass’ closing day on April 16th. The closing day festivities include a Surf & Snow Party at Elk Camp, live music at Venga Venga and Gwyn’s High Alpine, a Spring Fling Beach Party in Base Village, après specials, and end of season deals from local retailers.

“Spring Fling” – Closing Day Celebration Schedule:

11:30am – 3:30pm Surf & Snow Party at Elk Camp: Start the closing day celebrations at Elk Camp Restaurant. Elk Camp features a dance party with DJ Naka G, free leis, volleyball, drink specials, a taco bar, margarita bike blenders, giveaways, and much more. The event culminates with a Swimsuit Ski Down at 3:30pm. The inaugural Snowmass Swimsuit Ski Down will test the waters for future swimsuit ski downs, with the goal to eventually break the record for the largest swimsuit ski down in North America.

12:00pm – 6:00pm Live Music at Venga Venga: Venga Venga hosts live music on the patio from noon to 6:00pm along with après specials.

1:00pm – 3:00pm Live Music by Berkel Beats at Gwyn’s High Alpine: Gwyn’s features cocktail specials to enjoy alongside music by Berkel Beats on the patio all afternoon.

3:00pm – 7:00pm: Spring Fling Beach Party in Base Village: Continue the celebration with the Spring Fling Beach Party in Base Village, starting at 3:00pm. Base Camp hosts a dueling DJ dance party with Berkel Beats and DJ Naka G, complete with a real sand dance floor, beach balls, palm trees, and more. In addition, the party includes a pig roast cook-off featuring chefs from Base Camp, 8K, Slice, and Mountain Bayou. The pig roast is donation only, with donations benefiting Challenge Aspen. The party also includes local vendors and a Kids Beach Fun Zone, complete with bounce house and entertainers.
